About counselling and psychotherapy
Over recent years counselling and psychotherapy have become recognised as important ways in which people can get help with their personal problems.
Counselling and psychotherapy offers you a safe space in which to talk about your personal problems. Common issues that bring people to counselling and psychotherapy are relationship problems, stress at home and or at work, recent or past trauma, a desire for more personal understanding, to develop potential.
One of the ways we can look at the difference between counselling and psychotherapy is that counselling is usually short term, lasting less than 20 sessions. Psychotherapy is longer term.  Counselling and psychotherapy takes place usually at weekly intervals. The appointments are usually an hour long.
For fees contact the individual therapists. Therapists usually offer a free or half price initial assessment meeting, fees for individual sessions  cost between £40 - £50
